ABA 20 September
Hot dry weather again, but pleasant enough under the tree cover of the Goanna range. 16 shooters participated, with many using the round as a practise for the upcoming NSW ABA Titles to be held at Avon.
The ranges are in good condition with a lot of work having gone into mowing, preparing the tracks, pasting targets and re-bagging butts. It should be a nice weekend with something like 150 archers participating. We just need some rain in the next week!
Branch IFAA Titles at Avon
More than 60 archers representing 9 clubs gathered for the 2009 Branch IFAA titles at Avon.

On Saturday the sighted shooters shot the Koala field course and the unsighted shooters shot the Wallaby hunter range. The archers swapped ranges on Sunday for the second round.

The weather was hot and sunny, but as usual at Avon, the wind was light. There were quite a few red faces and water was a big seller at the canteen.

Some good scores were returned. Scott Buscombe shot a tournament high 539 on Sunday and special mention for Liam Mowbray who shot a 502 on Saturday in the recurve division.

The full scores are on the scores page.

The Iron Maiden competition was won by Adam Mowbray (sighted) and Robert Salter (unsighted). Rob shoots a longbow so that was indeed a fine effort.
