ABA 18 October
18/10/09 21:24
Great weather for an ABA round. Rain threatened a
couple of times but held off for the round.
It was the first round that we have shot that uses the new scoring system for the C zone. Where once the C zone was a defined area, the C zone is now the body line of the animal (except for the legs horns ears etc). This brings the ABA scoring into line with the IFAA international technique. It was immediately obvious that the change will have a very real effect on the scores, with several shooters in the small field improving upon their recent scores.
Jayden, Kane, Barbara, Fran and Nigel all returned their best score for the year.

ABA State Titles at Avon
04/10/09 21:57
121 archers took to the Avon ranges for the 2009 NSW
State ABA Titles. There were shooters from afar
afield as the Snowy Mountains, Shellharbour and
Cambelltown, together with our colleagues from
Macleay, Namoi, Taree, Hunter, Boolaroo, Tamworth and
Tuggerah.
Unfortunately the weather was poor with constant rain dampening proceedings and keeping the scores on the low side. However, some very good scores were shot by individuals.
The full list of scores is in the "scores" page.
